So, full warning, this is not a happy one. But I just wanted to say a little about Paul and thank you all for your support.

For those of you that don’t know, Paul Cappelli passed away this year after a short battle with cancer.

From all of us at the Cappelli family — Steven, Connie, Nikki, Casey, and Logan — we want to thank you all of you so, so much for all your support.

His creative, amazing, loving, and bigger-than-life spirit and love for all things Italian will live on in everything we do at Villa Cappelli. Forever.

Thank you.

You might think growing up in a small town in Texas wouldn't prepare you to live the Italian lifestyle. But in many ways — the family values, the small town culture, the love of food — is very similar to what you'll find in Italian culture. In fact, I expect it's pretty universal. Having been married to an Italian for 20 years, it's been fun to learn and explore the rich Italian culture and share it with you.

  1. Condolences to you Steven. I knew Paul at Catholic Memorial HS. I was 1 year ahead of him and his class of 1973 was a tight group.
Having traveled to Italy many time to visit family in Civitavecchia I hit it off with Paul as we reacquainted thru Facebook.
I am married with 2 great kids and living on Cape Cod these days
I had full intention of returning to Italy until Covid struck. Hopefully some day I will return.
Maybe sit under that tree on that bench and drink a glass of wine in my buddy’s memory.
Life is short and we will all die someday. Life is also for the living. It is important to remember good thoughts and dwell on the good not the pain and suffering that sometimes comes with death and its aftermath. Paul was a marvel of nature as you put it. A force. Lean on that force and accomplish good in his honor and in his memory.
That will bring Paul the most satisfaction and peace.
Be strong Steve and endeavor forward in the knowledge that Paul is at rest and with his creator.
